IMPORTANT: Please read carefully all of the below information

Skips can only be ordered online for delivery to private land (call 0800 917 1373 to order if on public land, eg, the highway ? as a license is required)

Skips can only be ordered for the next working day. If you require delivery sooner, please call 0800 917 1373

Only skips can be ordered online, RORO’s or trade waste bins are available by contacting the sales team on 0800 917 1373

Online ordering is only available for delivery of new orders only – if you already have a skip and require additional skips, please call 0800 917 1373

For orders of more than 5 skips, call 0800 917 1373 for the best price.

Terms & Conditions

  1. Prices quoted are exclusive of VAT
  2. It is a term of this contract that neither Basingstoke Skip Hire nor any of its servants or agents accept any liability for loss of or damage to land, buildings or fences, driveways or any other structures or personal chattels or possessions thereon arising from the delivery by setting down, the collection or taking up of any of its skips or containers from the entry of any of its servants or agents or vehicles onto the hirers land or premises.
  3. hire period is for a limit of 2 months from date of delivery. 

Equipment

  1. The customer must provide suitable access to the collection site, and a suitable area for siting of the equipment.
  2. The customer will be responsible for the equipment once it is on site. Any loss or damage due to theft, fire or malicious damage which may render the equipment to be inoperative will incur a replacement charge.
  3. The customer may not deface the equipment in any way without prior consent from the BSH & SWM.
  4. Equipment must not be overloaded; level load is the maximum height.

Waste

  1. We cannot accept the following items in the skip. PLASTERBOARD (if placing into a skip along with other waste types, extra charges will apply for plasterboard only skips), Asbestos, TV/Monitors, gas bottles, fire extinguishers, aerosols, cylinders, tyres, oil/oil drums, paint tins containing paint, fridge/freezers, liquid wastes, batteries, any poisonous/polluting substances (POPS) i.e. Sofa, Chair, or fabricated furniture, If any of the above items are found in the skip the hirer will be contacted and asked to collect the equivalent items or the hirer will be charged an extra disposal fee. No fires are permitted in the skip. Any damage caused to the skip, excluding normal wear and tear, will be charged to the hirer.
  2. The driver may refuse to empty/collect the equipment if they consider that it may contain any non-compliant waste.
  3.  the following Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPS) will incur and extra charge: SOFAS, ARMCHAIRS, UPHOLSTERED OFFICE/DINING CHAIRS
  4. There are charges for mattress disposal.
  5. please refer to our information on the new hazardous wood waste rules (RPS250), these can be found in documents under the home section on our website. 

Our Confirmation

  1. I can confirm that I have fulfilled my duty to apply to the waste hierarchy as required by regulations 12 of the Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2012.
